thinking about voidrot tonite... we really get so little canon information- iirc (and go easy on me it is 2 am) most of what we get comes from folykl and as far as canon we get that its like constantly dying and is when a psiionic cant manage their own energy but that still leaves like so much open like physical functions of it, why and how the eyes go all black, if there are at all any form of cure or medicine, etc etc. i have a character who ends up getting voidrot and i know i def took liberties there- one particular thing i made it do was things like cause consistent migraines, cause loss of vision, and give the troll an essentially endless appetite/metabolism because theyre feeding an essentially actively dying form
if anyone else has rotated the concept around in their minds id love to hear other peoples takes on it!
(forgive any spelling mistakes- it is late and i am on mobile)
interesting takes! i think that having voidrot is kind of like the troll equivalent of not having an organ or something. i mean, if a troll has psiionics and (develops?) voidrot they lose access to something that is part of them physically, and will therefore have serious effects on their health. it's like if we (humans) didn't have a liver or something. we kind of need one!
