the fandom had assumed that denizens were assigned to sburb players by aspects, but there are some inconsistencies -
like Dirk and Caliborn having the same denizen Yaldabaoth (assigned to strong players?), Aranea, a sylph of light, able to communicate to Echidna, a denizen for space players and karkat implying he was assigned a weak denizen (are blood players really powerless??.. ;-;)
How do you think denizens are assigned?
I personally think they're assigned by the capability of the player, and the challenges they have to face - with some patterns with aspects, too. I'll elaborate on this for each denizen in the story later when I have the time.
