the fandom had assumed that denizens were assigned to sburb players by aspects, but there are some inconsistencies - like Dirk and Caliborn having the same denizen Yaldabaoth (assigned to strong players?), Aranea, a sylph of light, able to communicate to Echidna, a denizen for space players and karkat implying he was assigned a weak denizen (are blood players really powerless??.. ;-;)
How do you think denizens are assigned? I personally think they're assigned by the capability of the player, and the challenges they have to face - with some patterns with aspects, too. I'll elaborate on this for each denizen in the story later when I have the time.
(This is my first time creating a thread, please notify me if I have to spoiler anything here!)

i think they rely on aspect for the most part, but if a player shows a certain amount of capability then they might be assigned a different denizen! in terms of aranea... maybe its a god tier thing? im not sure there ^_^;

For Aranea maybe its a Sylph thing? Sylph's are known to be makers, so maybe she's Makin' sense of what they are sayin'? Not exactly comprehendin' the language, just gettin' an idea of what they mean.
As for the others... Yeah I'm gonna go with capability too lol BP I have no other real idea WHY they might share a Denizen aside from that.

I guess it could be a thing for both sylphs and space players.. or do both certain adpecd and certain classes get to have specific denizens? it's maddening :^
since sburb is hugely a personal journey thing its probably capability + aspect. someone has to learn how to use their classpect with their capabilities and if its completely unfair for them or if they would find it too easy then that would be a major problem :Y think of it like level scaling

I wonder if the denizens are wholly unique to players as well. I mean, we never do see the troll denizens (which are the only real comparisons we could've used in general )
