My top three right now are Birdeatsbaby (darker shit for real, one of the album covers has a drawn depiction of suicide so be careful,) The Dresden Dolls/Amanda Palmer (both Birdeatsbaby and Amanda Palmer's shit falls under dark cabaret,) and Gregory and the Hawk! Meredith's stuff is a lot softer than the other two, but they're still super good. I can give specific song recs if you want, this shit is so good.
