*I personally don't have any AU's, but I do enjoy post-game ones where the players need to navigate life, it has a lot of creative freedom and can be super interesting depending on how the creator takes it! Maybe they become superheros, maybe they're treated as gods and they have to hide their identities, maybe they live as normal people who keep their powers a secret or they get therapy! The possibilities are practically endless and the world building can be as crazy & detailed as they want!

*another AU I enjoy is Crow Strider(by Meraki on mspfa), it makes everything feel so satisfying and I personally feel like it ties up a lot of loose ends! I would def recommend reading it.

Post-game au’s are fun, I would agree- but also dude..the crow strider au is so>>

oh man ok ok so.

not a whole lot of the plot changes honestly, and while i'm
not a big davekat guy it is a davekat au solely because i think it's really fucking funny.

character assignments go something like this, if you're familiar with be more chill:
jeremy: dave
micheal: john
christine: karkat
rich: dirk (trust me this is fucking hilarious)
jake: jake (also pretty great)
brooke: terezi
chloe: vriska
(on above; that's the true vrisrezi dynamic SORRY that's not true i'm lying.)
jenna: roxy
mr heere is SPECIFICALLY fandom bro because funny, and mr reyes is doc scratch, also for the funny factor.

as you can tell this au operates entirely off the rule of funny.

hal is dave's squip (someone dave would respect + listen to is not dirk but it's sooo funny just trust me i can reference 2001: a space oddessy to my hearts content) and caliborn is dirks (dirk is increasingly upset over this and this is ENTIRELY for the joke potential.)

dirk was the one who made the squip in this universe, and if i ever did write it it would end up featuring more characters on account of homestucks much larger cast and the plot would end up being different, specifically with more a focus on dirk

idk!!! it's fun

instead of dating jake and karkat just have a really shitty movie club, which john is a part of, and keeps encouraging dave to join. dave does not join solely because karkat is there.

similarly terezi and dave don't actually date: terezi has Sick Mind Powrrs and just helps him on his quest to cool. they have a really funny dynamic
