god. i have more thoughts on this than i think i know rightly how to put into words. as a baseline, i think the epilogues bring up some interesting ideas, but i find them so incredibly frustrating in so many ways - i feel like there's a really flippant and cruel tone to a lot of them, particularly as regards the characters and their development (or lack-there-of). the main problem i had with that - the stagnation n all - was the snapchat stuff they released had such a clear and obvious path forward for so many of them that when the epilogues rolled around and shrugged i felt like i was losing my mind.

ANYWAY SORRY i have ranted about the epilogues a lot but there's a few fics that explore the same sort of starting point (and ideas like ultimate dirk, which i think are pretty good) but without the whole... making every stagnate and do nothing and be really depressing.
